Serious Business

You know you are serious about baking when you buy this amount of sugar and flour. I included my phone in the picture for reference. Yes, that is 10 pounds of sugar and 20 pounds of flour. You can partially blame it on my Costco membership, but it's about more than that. It's about knowing you will go through this amount of flour and sugar before too long. And I can't wait to do it!

I already have a day's worth of baking planned. Wednesday I am bringing the dessert to Natalie and Mitch's house because they are making me and John dinner. And since it's a belated birthday celebration for Natalie, I really need to go all-out on these desserts. Right now the plan is to make orange brownies with cream cheese frosting and something from this book:

I love the title. Chocolate Epiphany. YUM! I definitely like the idea of bringing something non-chocolate and something chocolate. Especially because John will refuse to touch the orange brownies. He's a picky eater. But that's another post for another time...

  1. Dear heavenly days! Here you are on the other side of the continent and you keep tempting me with these luscious ideas! No wonder I can't lose any weight! Actually, it just shows how susceptible to suggestion I am....
