Fort Funston Take III

I am behind on posting about 600,000 Fort Funston photos.  John and I went again this weekend, and we went last weekend with my parents.  I didn't take as many pictures this time, so it was easier to snag the highlights.  Someday in the not too distant future I will post last weekend's pictures of The Great Maddie Photoshoot.  She looks quite fabulous.  I love the above photo because it captures a couple engrossed in conversation at the end of a long day at the beach.  I just wish the dog silhouette made it into the picture as well.

These three boys were having the time of their lives chasing the freezing surf.

Apparently the driftwood log was quite the draw.

Looks like Mom is going to have to fit it in the trunk.

Seems that the troublesome one spotted another log.  Uh oh.

These views are pretty amazing.

Light at the end of the tunnel?

We were hoping to see some hang gliders take off from the cliff, but these guys had to suffice.

And lastly, a few dog pictures, since that's one of the main draws of Fort Funston.  This Vizsla was in the midst of romping with two others.  The owner had his hands full with these guys.

An elderly couple on a bench had this cute buddy behind them, content to sit with his prized stick.  I bet he keeps them young!

This beautiful Ridgeback (though this one was ridge-less) was staring down at her (human) mother from the top of a cliff.  The woman was chasing after her Ridgie because the dog had stolen someone else's sock from a pile of clothes at the bottom of the hill.  It was priceless.  Not sure if they ever got that sock back.
