We stayed at a great place in Mendocino called the Stanford Inn By The Sea. We chose it because you could bring dogs, which was essential for this weekend.
Every room had a fireplace, which the maids prepped for you every morning. Good thing too, because I don't really know how to light a fire.
The Inn has a huge certified organic farm on the property and they use it to stock their vegetarian restaurant. I'm not sure I've ever eaten at a vegetarian restaurant before, but we did for the past three mornings. I guess I eat oatmeal every morning for breakfast anyway, so it wasn't much of a stretch.
There is also a beautiful flower garden out front where we got to walk Maddie every day. There were gardens all over Mendocino, actually. It was a thing.
So if you're ever looking to stay at Mendocino, especially with your Dalmatian, and want to stay at a beautiful inn complete with llamas on the property, check into the Stanford Inn By the Sea, pronto.
3 whole mornings without bacon? How did you survive?! :)
