Bliss


Long ribbons of delicate pasta piled high and covered in a light and flavorful spinach basil pesto - that was our dinner last night.  The noodles were so fresh that they almost melted in your mouth.  I seemed to twirl my fork endlessly to create an even bigger bite because the pasta and pesto felt like they would go on forever.  The baby spinach combined with a hint of lemon zest in the pesto balanced perfectly with the rich oil from the pine nuts.  Sigh.  I could go on forever.  Oh, and John made this for us.  Fresh pasta from scratch and fresh homemade pesto.  I've got it good.
